The Castle is located on a hill-top at 450 meters over sea level and offers a 360° view over a lavish nature with the magic of unforgettable sunsets. The Castle of Migliano dates back to the XII Century and was owned by the Earl Antonio da Marsciano, wellknown because godson of the famous leader Erasmo Gattamelata (whose statue by Donatello can be admired in Padova), and because being a brave knight.
The Castle of Migliano has always been the Earl of Marsciano's favourite place where to spend time with his family thanks to both the magical location and to the sulphuric and "Acquaforte" springs that can be found in the river below. It is surrounded by the green Umbrian hills at only 8 Km from Marsciano, 18 from Perugia, 18 from Todi and 158 from Rome, in a central position that allows an easy access to the most visited historical spots of the region.
In the Castle there are two enchanting apartments called "Il Pinturicchio" and "Il Perugino", named after two of the most famous Umbrian painters, which have been wonderfully restored respecting the relevant historical traditions. Other than offering a breathtaking landscape from each window, the two apartments can guest from 4 to 6 people and they both include two bedrooms, two bathrooms with shower, a completely equipped kitchen and a living room with fireplace and a queen-size sofa-bed.
They are provided with TVsat , internet connection, independent heating and air-conditioning, safety-box, hair-drier, linen, table and kitchenware. They are decorated with antique furniture and luxury details and are designed to satisfy those guests who are looking for charm, relax, comfort , beautiful nature in a cosy and timeless atmosphere. Inside the Castle there is a restaurant that prepares genuine and typical Umbrian food. It is moreover possible to organize either catering or the venue of a private cook who can prepare Italian or typical Umbrian recipes.
