Description
Welcome to the Relais Tenuta del Gallo, an exquisite italian country manor set in a private twenty-hectare estate. Not far from the medieval hilltop town of Amelia, the Tenuta del Gallo lies on the borders of Lazio, Umbria and Tuscany. A preferential and unique destination to spend an exclusive holiday, while enjoying the countryside quietness. “Lost” in pristine nature, surrounded by mountains and luxuriant woods, the Relais lies on a hill overlooking fields, olive groves, fruit trees and oaks. The view goes far beyond the ancient church and the medieval pigeon tower, towards the domes of Amelia. The landlords are pleased to offer a warm welcome. The Relais has been skilfully restored and covers an area of about 1000 square metres. It is composed of a main stone house, built applying the “amerina” ancient technique of ‘600 and in which there are most of the bedrooms and the common places, and a smaller house. Each room and place is a charming expression of elegance and accuracy of details: sophisticated furniture, fine antiques, precious drapery, decorated ceilings, the big bifrontal fireplace in the stateroom, ancient doors with their original shutters and handles, the earthen floors. Wide and elegant common areas outline the Relais exclusivity: the restaurant, the veranda, the library with Wi-fi connection, the stateroom, the bar and the cellar with its 3200 hollows made of ancient hip-tiles to keep the bottles. The accurate Italian garden with its fragrant flower beds, an ever-green oak grove, a chestnut grove and a shadowy lake make your stay more and more pleasant. The restaurant consists of a big room and two outside arcades facing east and south to let you enjoy fresh air in summer time and warmth in less mild seasons. From the swimming pool you have a magic view on the valley. Your glance glides down through the olive trees to the fields and then up again through the cypresses to go beyond the turret.
The 6 double rooms, the suite dependance, the junior suite and the superior suite (24 beds in total) are absolutely comfortable and very well refined and accurate in any details. They are all equipped with satellite TV, CD and DVD player, telephone, mini bar, conditioning air, safe and a Jacuzzi in each bathroom. They are all different from each other, furnished with antiques, ancient paintings, four-poster beds, precious drapery. The suites have a terrace, whereas the bedrooms in the turret have a balcony with loggia and the ones in the smaller house have a private patio.
