Ca'Lucano is located at 500m altitude, right in the heart of the green rolling hills of Tuscany. The road to reach it used to be nothing more than a narrow footpath. Today, that path has widened slightly due to the coming and going of our friendly visitors. The path winds uphill, through open pastures and thick vegetation - at times, almost giving the impression that the path's end is near. Suddenly, just after a turn, one reaches the top of the hill, revealing an endless and majestic view of the valley below; the house overlooks the valley, called Val Cerfone.
If you're looking for an opportunity to rest, you won't be disappointed. Long walks through the woods (mostly oaks and chestnut trees) can easily be undertaken on any of the narrow paths leading to and from the house. If walking is slightly tiresome, a pinewood park is located just adjacent to the house; this is an ideal place to just sit and relax!
If however, you're looking to acquire a little color, then you may be tempted to sit comfortably on one of our deck-chairs next to the pool; a few parasols and a fresh lawn provide for cool breaks to marvel at the panoramic view from the pool. In sum, it can't be explained... it must be seen.
Every season carries a host of attractive features at Ca'Lucano: summer is always a pleasure as the cool breeze soothes the strong summer heat; spring is wonderful for practically any pastime, including walks, cultural visits, getting a little tan and just chit-chatting away among friends; winter offers visitors a chance to unwind infront of a warm fire, after having taken long strolls in any of the neighbouring towns or after having visited the famous Antique Fair in Arezzo (held regularly on the first Sunday of every month). However, the truly magnificent season is autumn; during the fall the entire valley - and particularly the Pero Palace - are renound for the seasonal harvest of wild porcini mushrooms and for the ensuing Mushroom Fair (held annually on the first or second week in September).

This calm area is renowned for its wide range of natural products, including mushrooms and chestnuts. Palazzo del Pero - a small Tuscan town with several shops - is located two kilometers from Ca’Lucano.
For guests interested in art history, some of the most noteworthy cities in Tuscany are located within close proximity; Siena (60km), Florence (70km), Arezzo (12km) and smaller towns, such as Cortona and Sansepolcro are less than 30km from Ca’Lucano.
The first Sunday of every month, Arezzo hosts an antique fair which is recognized by many Italians as one of the most important nationwide.
